Webcams.com has been around for more than a year now. In the past few months it has seen a massive increase in quality models.
Models are flocking to Webcams.com: even though the site does not have powerfull features of Streamate or LiveJasmin, it is kicking in high gear and attracting new supermodels all the time!
Same old features: in another sign that it is content that matters, viewers are flocking to Webcams.com even though it has a relatively basic set of features. Small videofeeds windows, limited chat functions, approximate search function and clumsy layout: all these limitations do not prevent Webcams.com to provide a very enjoyable experience, with the basics that we all like such as cam2cam and audio. If only the video feed could be larger, we would be rating this site as one of the very best. The only really annoying thing is models showing with no pictures in the live models list and some models sitting in their cam room with their camera switched off.
New popular models: the good thing is that very talented and popular models are now using Webcams.com as their primary home. The site's unique model: the uniqueness of Secretfriends comes from the perfect balance between different features: absolutely stunning models such as Yvet (pictured above), virtually unlimited free view (but no free chat), and a wonderful chat engine that makes camroom visitors feel in close touch to the camgirl. The upside for visitors only interested in watching webcam models with no need for further interaction is that they can get a lot for free, especially when the model is showing some skin during her private chats. This "free skin for all" model has so far worked because visitors could not help but wanting a piece of the action themselves, joining in the private chat fun. Long Live Secretfriends! We at Camgirlsfans do not believe that Secretfriends should change their model any time soon. This is a very special site in the sea of camsites, and it hosts models who are more interested in establishing relationships with their guests than at any other site. They also tend to be much more elegant and sexy than at other sites, as evidenced by the pictures above. The disappearance of Secretfriends would also certainly lead to the retirement of the camgirls, as they would not fit at the other camsites. Secretfriends camgirls are among the few who do not split their camfeeds with other sites, and there is a reason for that!

YTMND descends upon Livejasmin!

The crazy crowd of YTMND.com has descended upon LiveJasmin this week.
Put something on your head: YTMND, which stands for "you're the man now dog!", is a community website hosting pages "featuring a juxtaposition of a single image, optionally animated or tiled, along with large zooming text and a looping sound file." Most of the creations on the site are actually quite funny, although some YTMND members sometimes get carried away. This week many members decided to "raid" Livejasmin and ask the camgirls to put something on their heads. This led to a lot of funny moments in the camrooms and even in private, as can be seen on YTMND.
You may want to ask the camgirls what it was like to be "raided". Some played along, like 1DIRTYBEAUTY and Oxigen, and others just ignored them or got (rightfully) angry, like ElljaySummers, TastesSoGood, Sexbomb, and Sharissa.
This new trend quickly became a real fad, and you will now find tens of pictures and short videos of Livejasmin camgirls putting shoes or other objects on their heads at the request of YTMND members. Some members were funny and inventive "I have a sickness and the only cure is a flower on your head", but others were less courteous or downright unpleasant and were kicked out of the chat rooms. There was also a special contest for girls touching their noses. Far from the usual sexy moves one can see on Livejasmin, but judging by most of the pictures posted it must have provided the camgirls some comic relief.

Return of Diana and introduction of PeekSpeed and the Voyeur Room: Peekshows is alive and kicking!
Return of Diana and addition of some nice new models: following on the heels of Kitra and Nikki, Diana [Peekshows bio - our review] is finally back at Peekshows. The last time we checked, she was already back in the top 10 camgirls. Joining her among the top Peekshows models are Camgirlsfans long-time favorites Novarita [Peekshows bio - our review] and Kloudia [Peekshows bio - our review]. Some nice new models have recently joined, like Dalia who apparently enjoys playing with food and yoghurt in her shows ; ) Still, Peekshows is a shadow of its old self when considering the number of models online. These days there are hardly ever more than 30 models online at any time, compared to the 100+ models online at the time of the camsite's glorious days.
PeekSpeed and audio: finally large-screen high speed videos are available, as well as audio. Still not as good as Livejasmin's triple-sized video feeds, this is a very welcome addition to Peekshows, albeit we would prefer the use of java or flash technology over the oftentimes buggy windows media player used by Peekshows.
Blogs and private messaging system: we mentioned before that Peekshows had finally started new features such as camgirls blogs and rss feeds. A lot of models have started adding blogs to their bio pages, and it is now easier to find them by selecting "models with blogs" in the Models menu. It also shows the date of the latest blog entry. Once in blog mode, members can comments on blog entries and show their support. Some girls use it to share their feelings or the latest news about Peekshows. For instance we learn from Lottiel that there is now a very strict no email/no msn or yahoo messenger policy, which is a bummer as this was the only way to get cam2cam shows on Peekshows. Another new feature, the personal email system, is also heavily filtered and all email addresses or personal contact details will be deleted. Still, the blogs allow some users to communicate with their favorite models: it's a great tool to check model popularity. Lil (aka Lilyan) [Peekshows bio - our review], one of the camgirls featured in our reviews has seen a lot of requests in her blog comments for her to come back to Peekshows.
The voyeur room: one of the things Peekshows does best is the who's online view. You can chat, view the cam feeds, view who is online, and jump from room to room from within the same window. This is like Spread4u's "jump to next window" feature, only much better implemented. Peekshows are now trying to leverage their superior technology by offering a simultaneous multicams view: members can view up to 8 live video feeds at the same time! This is great fun for those members who like checking out what is happening in their favorite camgirl rooms at the same time. We've had some problems in our testing, but we trust that Peekshows will fix it soon.

New language options: As shown on these pics, the many features of Cams.com are now available in four languages. This is definitively useful for the German/French/Spanish speakers among us. New site features: First and foremost the video feeds have been largely improved thanks to a new technology. The large-sized video is a little smaller than previously, but it provides great video at a much better quality and it is now available to the non-members. The cam2cam option is also better, with users experiencing less slowdowns during two-way videochat. Also improved are the fan clubs, with unlimited access to a large range of pictures and videos. While the site still has not added any advanced features, there is a lot going on at SecretFriends.

Others have been sighted some time ago on Directsex, such as Antonia. Certain Secretfriends alumni models have also joined LiveJasmin, such as Lizzya. However, the best place we have found is Mycamfriends, where many models like Edita and Elisha appear to adopt a much more daring attitude in private chat.
Certain camgirls fans have started collecting pictures and movies of those rare moments when camladies like Allye or Lery adopt sexy poses (apparently they sorted out copyright issues with Secretfriends, or the site owners do not mind the added publicity). One such site is SFfans, a recently created Yahoo group. Still, with models treated like pop stars by their fans, and with a very original chat window that allows an enjoyable chatting experience, this camsite is under no pressure to add new options.

LivePrivates has finally gone live. Here is a first report.
In a nutshell: same features and same models as Livejasmin, including the great chat system / the site should develop its own group of models like JoYourself
LivePrivates models: as already reported, LivePrivates is currently little more than a skin for Livejasmin. The same great models are available, such as Camgirlsfans' favorites Shampagne, Devileyes or Hornydoll. One can only hope that the site will soon have its own life with separate models and a separate community. The site design is actually an invitation to a gentler, closer experience with the camgirls.
Site features: most of the great features of the LiveJasmin family are available on Liveprivates, including the great video chat window that comes in different sizes, the chat-in-pic feature, cam2cam, audio, bios, etc. The one feature missing is the TopAwards ranking system: actually, this is not really a downside as many of the ranking systems used on camsites are often misused by models wishing to attract more fans. This is unfortunate because such scams by unscrupulous chathosts deprive real fans from helping out their favorites by voting for them.
