Spread4U:  what a great name for a camsite!

Unfortunately, a great name is not sufficient.  After a failed attempt to modernize its interface under the guise of Camclub, Spread4U is definitively dead now.  It has been purchased by the new owners of cams.com and merged with the site.  You still have the spread4u or camclub name, but these are just skin-deep:  everything else is gone.  No more whisper chat, no more low-tech low bandwidth video streams:  everything has been upgraded to cams.com standards.

Spread4U is dead, long life to cams.com!

Here is a brief retrospective of Spread4U over the years:

CamClub is like Spread4u on steroids. Many camgirls, great chatting features.

In a nutshell: free chat / requires credit card verification / many cute camgirls / triple-sized videos

Models: there were always more than 100 camgirls online at Camclub during our visits, representing a wide range of styles, countries, languages (Spanish, Italian, German, French,…) and ethnicities. Camgirls are in three categories: Just Friends, Centerfolds and Intimate Encounters. Fans of Secretfriends and other camsites that promote gentle flirting will certainly enjoy the Centerfolds category, which features “Tasteful entertainment for adults. Live sessions with the world’s top nude models.” No models were live in that section at the time of our visits, but this looks like a promising category, especially since pricing in this section is much reduced. Many Camclub camgirls are also available at Spread4u, like Anna (who obviously enjoys being a nurse) and Angeline, a lady who always keeps audio on, even in free chat. Evelin is also very welcoming and has very beautiful curly hair. Finally, for the more daring visitors, CumTogether is quite baroque to say the least: she will put up an absolutely stunning and surprising performance, acting several roles in turn.

Video quality: double, and even triple video sizes are available, always with a reasonably good video quality. Typically camgirls who rank higher tend to have better video feeds. Just order models by ranking to see who are the most popular. Many Camclub models have cam2cam and/or audio.

Features: offline options include galleries, favorites list and bios, email alerts as well as a private email system between you and your favorite camgirls. Camclub also allows to search its many camgirls by different categories, including by price, age, language, etc. They also feature the chathost of the week and a special “fetish” sections for those of us who appreciate that genre. Camclub is also announcing the availability of French and German language versions soon. Online features include free webcam chat, private chat, “keyhole chat” (which provides members a way to peep through to see what’s happening in a nude only room with a small video size), private chat, webcam chat and voyeur mode. A number of models are available in “nude only” type access. In our experience these models tend to be working on many sites at the same time: most “professional” camgirls, like the lady available as “BustyBlonde BJ” will be found in that section. Yet another way to interact with Camclub camgirls and easily jump from room to room is the Party Chat option. Camclub also borrows the wonderful whisper chat feature from Sprea4u, which allows you to enjoy a real private conversation with your favorite camgirl, even in free chat. Value for money: free text chat available to all, but free video chat requires a free credit card age verification process. Pricing per minute is set by the model, and ranges between $0.99 to $5 per minute.

Already quite large, it seems that Spread4u is still growing very fast.

Video quality: the site uses a java applet to provide regular, bigger and biggest video options (the last two are available to members only). As is the case for Streamate, the bigger screen options open a separate window, and one must go back to the main window to chat.

Models: many models, although not as many as on cumtv or Streamate. There appears to be a majority of models working from home, which adds to the “reality” feeling of the experience. Many girls are from Eastern Europe but you will find some models from Asia and South America. Almost no two-girl or couple rooms, and no male models (they have a gay site at stroke4u).

Features: no cam2cam but audio, depending on the model. The models list includes audio or phone icons identifying those models that support these options. The distinguishing feature of the site is the whisper chat option, which allows members to have a private conversation with the model without having to take her private. Note that in crowded rooms models tend to ignore private whispers as they tend to be overwhelmed by private messages. The chat window also shows who is in the room. The site has poor offline features, with limited picture galleries and no recorded shows. The one nice feature, which is also available to non members, is the email alert system that tells you when a model is online.

Value for money: free chat for all, sometimes with audio. Private chats range from $2.99 to $4.99, and a nude chat option is available for $1.49 to $2.49. The nude chat option is a bit cumbersome because, like on cumtv or cams.com, one has to ask the model to go to the nude chat section of the site.
